  About Lisa  

Lisa Nitschke has 19 years experience teaching instrumental music in her home studio and in Queensland schools. She has taught all ages (from 6 to 60) and all levels (from beginner to AMEB and Trinity grade 8). Lisa's students have an excellent record of results with exams, eisteddfods and performances.

Lisa was the Flute Tutor at Good Shepherd Lutheran College, Noosa for 9 years, and Instrumental Tutor and Ensemble Director at St Andrew's Anglican College, Peregian for 4 years. Lisa also enjoys her orchestral performing, and was Principal Flute and Piccolo of the Noosa Orchestra for 6 years.

 

Since moving to Brisbane, Lisa has played Flute and Piccolo with Orchestra Concertino, Clarinet with Classic Clarinets of Brisbane, and Saxophone with "Beggars True". Lisa currently performs regularly with the Moreton Bay Symphony Orchestra and is the the Woodwind Tutor at Grace Lutheran Primary School, Clontarf and Living Faith Lutheran Primary School, Murrumba Downs.

Qualifications:

BA in Music 
Professional member QMTA (Queensland Music Teachers Association) 
Current Blue Card (Working with children check)

  Piccolo for advanced players  

Students who have been playing flute for at least 2-3 years can incorporate learning the piccolo into their regular flute lessons. The piccolo, which sounds an octave higher than the flute, is often used in orchestras and bands.
